Elissa Stern

Kelly graduated from Fordham University and earned her law degree from Brooklyn Law School. During law school, she participated in the Safe Harbor Clinic on behalf of adults and children seeking asylum and humanitarian immigration relief. She commenced her legal career at The Children’s Law Center, representing children in suspension hearings and in custody, abuse and neglect proceedings in family court and the Integrated Domestic Violence Unit. She also worked with the Broken Adoptions Project to advise foster care clients seeking higher education and briefly lobbied the New York State Senate to amend the Adoption and Safe Families Act. She later worked for the New York City Department of Education investigating and litigating cases as part of the Special Education Unit before joining the Law Office of Neal H. Rosenberg in 2021.
